Seungmin Ham, PhD

Dr. Seungmin Ham is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, School of Clinical Sciences, Monash University at Monash Medical Centre. He earned a BSc (BBiotech) from Korea and GradDip (GDipDrugEvalPharmSc and GradDipRepSc) from Australia. He also received his MSc (MRepSc) by research, completing his masters thesis on the role of LKB1 in regulating aromatase in the healthy and diseased testis at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research (formerly Prince Henry’s Institute of Medical Research) and Monash University, Australia. He completed his PhD at Monash University, focusing on understanding the molecular pathway in human keloid fibroblasts and development of a novel treatment. Results from his research have been patented, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presented at international and national conferences. Seungmin’s current research is in psoriasis and Dupuytren diseases with the aim of understanding their molecular mechanism in order to develop novel treatments
