Dr. Hesham M Ahmad completed his medical training at Minia University in Minia, Egypt where he obtained both his MD and PhD. He the did his postdoctoral studies at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA, USA.
He is the clinical director of Health lake international Medical Centre, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, a Dermatology and Aesthetic centre. He is also an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Gulf Medical University, United Arab Emirates as well as an Assistant Professor at Department of Dermatology, Minia University Hospital, Egypt. He has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals. His Research interests include:
- Treatment of acne vulgaris and its complications.
- Patho-physiologic mechanisms underlying skin aging: Including microscopic, ultra-structural as well as immune-histochemical changes.
- Therapeutic interventions for skin aging.
- Laser procedures for various dermatologic indications: including skin rejuvenation and laser-assisted hair removal.
