Mr Ioannis Goutos is a plastic surgeon specialising in scar management. His career commenced at the Royal London Hospital (Barts Health), where he led the development of the Trust burn facility and formed a key role in expanding the tertiary scar management service.
He undertook his surgical training in the London and Oxford regions achieving a number of awards and accolades and completed fellowship programmes in the Indian subcontinent, South America, and the Orient. In his clinical practice, he is the Clinical Director of the London Scar Clinic, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the care of patients with scarring related concerns.
With his lifelong commitment to research and education, he extends his surgical role through the position of the Director of Plastic Surgery Academic programmes at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
