Dr. Gwenaël Rolin is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences (Université Marie et Louis Pasteur, Besançon, France), a senior scientist at UMR RIGHT (INSERM 1098), and a member of the Clinical Investigation Center of the Besançon Franche-Comté University Hospital. For the past 15 years, his research has mainly focused on pathological wound healing and skin repair, with a particular interest in deciphering the pathophysiology of keloids at the cellular and molecular levels through the crosstalk between macrophages and fibroblasts within a complex microenvironment. He also contributes to the development and evaluation of regenerative approaches, including biomaterials for skin repair and tissue engineering applications. His work combines experimental biology, translational research, and biomechanical investigations to improve the understanding and management of abnormal healing processes.
