Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Keloid Research Foundation (KRF), Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital and Shanghai JiaoTong University School of Medicine, we are delighted to extend a warm welcome, and cordially invite you to join us for the 5th International Keloid Symposium to be held in Shanghai, China in Spring of 2021.
The aim of this symposium is to bring together many clinicians and researchers to discuss the challenges of this poorly understood disorder. The organizing committee is organizing an extraordinary program that will cover almost every aspect of this disorder with exceptionally strong scientific and clinical content across the breadth of keloid disorder, from cutting-edge laboratory research to most current treatment approaches, pros and cons of surgery, radiation, cryotherapy, chemotherapy, laser treatment and other non-surgical interventions.
Our 2019 meeting was successfully held in Beijing. KRF will return to China as the Chinese scientific community has shown an unparallel enthusiasm and rigor towards KD and has devoted an enormous manpower and significant resources to researching this disorder.
Keloid Disorder is quite prevalent in China with perhaps more keloid patients living in China than in the rest of the world. KRF is proud to collaborate with Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital that has taken the lead in in clinical and basic science research of this very hard to treat condition.
We look forward to welcoming you in Shanghai.
